So what does Jesus mean to the skater on the street? How are you going to reach them?

In Australia, we have a huge teenage youth culture that on weekends you go to the local party and get drunk, if that party's no good, you move on. Some life. Many of them can't even remember the night they just had, or they wake up having done something they regret. This generation is difficult to reach, as there are so many things that they can rely on keep themselves occupied with rather than their creator. The latest phone, work, parties, boyfriend, girlfriend, shopping - they all help to fill the kids lives with what they believe is 'meaning'.

So how can we show them that Jesus is the answer?

There is such an urgency to let them know.

I'm in the State Emergency Service, and we perform many types of rescues. I must say that I don't have too many dreams at night, and when I have them I don't usually remember them. This one particular time I did. We were doing some sort of building collapse, and the roof started caving in, and my team-mate didn't get out and was crushed. My thought was 'I know where he is now.' My team-mates in the rescue unit aren't Christians. Without a doubt, at the moment when they die, they are going to hell.

So how can we show them that Jesus is the answer?

There is such an urgency to let them know.

The business people of this world who sit in top level offices overlooking cities, fighting with other fellow workers about coffee types. They have the best furniture, the best computer that money can buy, the best mobile phone, the best plants. Some even have bars in their offices. Where is it going to get them? Are they happy? Do their three children that they see on Saturday mornings watching television give them meaning? How are their wives that don't want to know them anymore and are trying to divorce them.

So how can we show them that Jesus is the answer?

There is such an urgency to let them know.

I wonder when I see people walking around town 'Why don't they understand? Have they ever heard the gospel?' I ask that you fulfill the mission that Jesus gave us in Matthew 28 in the Great Commission.

Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (MAT 28:18-20 NIV)
