Here's a couple of themes to get you going and thinking. There are so many ideas and possibilities that you could make with each theme. From television shows, to recent movies even a Biblical theme, the ideas are endless!

Do you have a theme that ran really well? Share it to the rest of the world here. Here's a few that did great with how they were done, or could be done.

Before going any further, I must let you know about how ESA camps are generally run, as you know what is going on with themes etc. At the start of camp, we 'dress up' a foyer area where they book in etc.. We also fill up a hall adjoining it with theme stuff. So, as soon as campers arrive, they are faced with the theme straight away. This is how the building looks.

The Journey To Emerald City
Lions and tigers and bears...Lions and tigers and bears... Well, there weren't any tigers or bears, only a cowardly lion. We based the camp on the Wizard of Oz. Due to the recent Harry Potter phenominin, it was decided against to having the word 'wizard' in the theme, so we changed it to The Journey to Emerald City.
Apon arrival, we blacked out the windows between the foyer and the main hall with black plastic and decorated the interior to resemble 'Munchkin Land', as shown in the picture below.

The kids loved this word. There were tents and 'dwellings' throughout the place. The kids had to leave the road, which was 'birthday greeting card chrome left-overs', and find out their lodge, duty group, and a memory verse. The mushroom and various other things seen here are painted cardboard. There is coloured material (red, yellow, blue, green etc) that covers chairs which form tunnels to people with clues to the memory verse, or name tag etc. It was set up so the kids would spend at the least half an hour in Munchkin Land, looking for their details.

We had four duty groups, Totos, Tornadoes, Munchkins and M
